Hi Karissa! Yes, that should be fine. Baking time is hard to say as every oven bakes differently. It should be close to the same but be sure to check on the cake as it is baking.

Hi Daisy! You can make it all in advance for sure. Place the frosting in something airtight or cover it with plastic wrap directly on top. Wrap the cakes in plastic wrap too once they are cooled.

I would love to make this. I was just wondering If i make it ahead of time, but keep all of the parts seperate (so I can assemble later) will the frosting be okay just sitting in a bowl in a fridge, will the cake get dry? I would need to make the seperates in the morning and assemble at night. TIA

Love the recipe! I substituted applesauce and a few dates instead of oil.

Someone else may have mentioned this but baking soda is actually a base not an acid.

Hi Suzanne! No, in a Bundt cake pan it would take longer for sure. It’s hard to say how long as every oven/pan makes a difference. I recommend checking on the cakes as they are baking.

Would it be similar baking time if I made this into a bundt cake instead of a layer cake?
