I was looking around the internet for an amaretto cake and found this. I normally don’t enjoy boozy cakes but this one was absolutely fabulous! 😍

This is one of the best cakes I’ve ever made! I doubled the recipe and made three 8 inch cakes and 6 cupcakes (for blowing out candles) and they were moist, light and pillowy. The buttercream came together much easier than I expected, though the final outcome wasn’t quite as sweet as I wanted it to be and was very butter forward. I added a little bit of powdered sugar, a little salt and kept adding almond and vanilla extract until I got the flavor I wanted. 12/10 recipe, will be making this again!

Hi Emma! Each cake should be about 1.5-2″ tall if you bake three 6″ layers. Converting pan sizes is always tricky. Here are some sites I use as a guideline:
