Hi Nadja! I found it to be perfect but you can add a bit more apple if you like. Note that that will make for a bigger volume so you may need to increase pan size. Also, don’t add too much as it will affect the texture of the cake.

Hi im am planning to make this cake! I have made several recipes of yours before and I loved them all. I do have a question, 2 cups apples seems to me not enough apple, does the cake has a strong apple taste? Could I add more or will it change the cake?

Very delicious cake! My family made it together for a birthday and turned out delicious. Next time I will reduce the overall sweetness of the cake and frosting since it was a bit too sweet and set the baking timer to 32mins since it was almost overbaked at 40mins.

Liv, just to let you know I ended up going with 5 layers (for a 70th birthday cake) and it was perfect. Not overly sweet and full of flavour. The non-cake eaters were even fans! Thank you!
