Today I just finished baking 125 eggnog cookies and am patiently waiting for them to cool so I can drizzle the glaze on. I make over a thousand cookies, squares etc. every Christmas season and this is one of my personal favourites!
Thanks again for the great recipe and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! ( I know I’m early 😁)

Hi Kels! The cookies will be fine and soft at room temperature (stored in something airtight) for at least a week. Otherwise you can freeze them for up to 3 months.

Any notes you can provide on storage and how long these cookies will stay soft for? My family is planning on going up to the mountains for the holidays and with all the cooking that’ll be done, I’m trying to get my cookies done earlier. This recipe looks amazing and I really want to share these cookies with them

Hi Kris! For 20 cookies use 1 egg yolk.

I am going to attempt this recipe and wanted to double check if I should use 1 egg yolk or two if I am making the original servings of 20 cookies?

Thank you,

Hi R! Sorry to hear you didn’t find the eggnog flavour strong enough. The rum flavour comes through better if you use extract vs actual rum as it is more potent.

The cookies are soft as advertised but the eggnog flavor is very subtle & not a hint of the rum. If you like a very understated treat, these will be nice with coffee. I prefer a stronger flavor.
