Okay, these were excellent! I made these a few months ago with some crab apples I needed to use and they were delightful. Currently thinking about how I wish I had one right now. The apple filling tasted good AND set up really well so it wasn’t running all over.

Hi Susan! It sounds like something went wrong as the dough should have been like a standard oatmeal cookie dough and it should be quite flavourful. I used my oatmeal cookie recipe for this and it’s always a hit! https://livforcake.com/oatmeal-chocolate-chip-cookies/

I thought these were awful. The dough was very dry, which is strange since they have so much butter in them. However 3 cups is a lot of oats and cooking them for 15 minutes is probably too long. It was also flavorless . The apples were tasty, but I would use my regular oatmeal cookie recipe instead if I were to try these again.

Hi Ffiglio! It should thicken noticeably. Did you cook it long enough? Did you use the cornstarch? You can continue cooking the apples to burn off more liquid if the filling is too thin, or add a bit more cornstarch.

Hi
Going to make a bunch of your cookie cups for Thanksgiving.
Question. Can I make and freeze the cups and then fill later?
